IV° Transnational Meeting in Palermo

On 27th and 28th April 2017 at the CEIPES’ premises in Palermo (IT), it was convened the 4th Partners ‘meeting for project: “JOBIT- Innovative Teaching Methodologies and courseware for software development VET to reduce skills gap in IT”, funded by the EC in the framework of the ERASMUS+ Program, KA2 (Strategic partnerships for the innovation in the field of vocational education or VET Education).

The project is conceived for VET students to build up professional skills in the field of software development, responding to a more and more demanding labor market in this professional sector.

The meeting was attended by: Ceipes (Italy); “BCs Koolitus AS” (Estonia), specialized in the informatics education and coordinator of the JOBIT project; the European University Cyprus (Cyprus).

In order to maximize the project’s outreach a handbook and a learning pathway have been created for informatics teachers working in vocational schools and institutions teaching IT modules.

For the purposes of the Jobit project, each partner will organize training courses in their own country. The primary aim of this training is to show the suggested methodology and learning material prepared by all partners for teaching vocational students to become Junior Software Developers.
